Geometric Faceted Gem Glass Vases

If you've ever been to a mineral shop or an earth science museum, you might have noticed that the beautiful collections of rough or cut gemstones have an uncanny resemblance to our newest collection of vases. The eclectic containers you see in the images above are part of our special collection of table-top geometric glass vases, fundamentally inspired by the gorgeous precious minerals of the earth, in both their cut and uncut forms. These sophisticated multi-faceted pieces have a dignified and tasteful, art-deco, 1920s-vintage aesthetic. They’re perfect for unique floral, candle, or succulent terrarium displays and they work well with minimalist décor and modern homes.

Bubbles of Joy - Part 2

A simple bubble bowl vase can made a world of different to your creative floral arrangements
When it comes to great modern decorating, glass bubble bowls are wonderful if not obvious choices. As the name suggests, the glass curves into a bubble-like sphere with an opening at the top. Whether you’re going for playful or dramatic, creating centerpieces with these bowls is easy when paired with your favorite items. You can brighten up a room by filling the bowl with colorful stonesvase fillersseashells or fresh flowers. The encompassing glass makes it great for floating candles or pillar candles. You could also gather a collection of bowls to set up a candy buffet or to display novelty items. They also make great terrariums for all kinds of plants: drought-tolerant plants like succulents and cacti, or submersible freshwater plants like marimo moss balls and java ferns. Best of all, bubble bowls are a classic choice for keeping live fish!

Bubbles of Joy: Terrarium Pods

Comments | Posted in Newsletter By Mary L. | Feb 8, 2017 11:28:00 AM

Spring is only a month away, and what better way to prepare for the season than to revist one of my faaaavorite topics: terrariums.

Terrariums have been rising in popularity ever since the start of the historical Environmental Movement in the 60s.  The intense urbanity of the modern world has removed many of us from the nostalgic rusticus life, and it never hurts to remind ourselves that despite all the hustle and bustle of cities and suburbs, it's worth putting even just a small dash of green in your life. Growing things can bring gratification and peace of mind. Some studies even suggest that gardening can reduce stress better than other types of leisue activities.

We've discussed extensively about terrariums in previous posts, but today we'll be sharing with you some tips on choosing plants and containers before introducing our new bubble bowl terrarium: the asymmetrical bubble bowl terrarium pod.

Be Mine: A Heart-Shaped Valentine's Gift - Vase Fillers and Terrariums

Heart Shaped Gems and Terrarium for Valentine's

For many, Valentine's Day is treated with a special reverence embroiled in customs of the modern day: bundles or roses, boxes of chocolates, hand-made pink and red cards, and a romantic date involving dinner and a movie. It is a day to celebrate your love with partners, be it in the form of Eros or Agape. Among the plebians, little is remembered of the history of St. Valentine's or the historical origin of the heart-shape. But even as the ages past, we still cling to pieces of history in every gesture. Our heart-shaped items, beyond their adorable loveliness, are closely connected to that history.

At Vase Market, we've always been about finding that perfect fusion between modern and traditional. You need not forgo your annual modern Valentine rituals, but if you're looking to really impress, it might be beneficial (especially for those sapiosexuals) to go beyond the superficial in your approach to honoring your significant other.
