Decorative Inspiration for Your New Year's Party!
1. Decorative Glass Apothecary Jars
If you're looking for some inspiration on how you can incorporate the luckiest color in your celebrations, check out this amazing Chinese New Year party organized by one creative mother! We absolutely love how this glass apothecary jar was used to display fortune cookies. The indented neck made for an additional decorative opportunity. As you can see, they added a gold twisted rope and a pair of wooden chopsticks along with a red tag asking how many cookies are in the jar. Very neat!
2. Decorating For a New Year's Wedding
This gorgeous singapore wedding is a stellar example of excellent use of various traditional elements often found for Chinese lunar new year celebrations: hanging red lanterns, red table cards, red napkins, and florals that come in various shades of red and pink. One must admire the clever simplicity of their cylinder vase arrangements, which holds only a single hydrangea bulb cluster of pink blossoms. Along the edges of the venue, low long tables exhibit explosive scarlet sage floral arrangements in slender eiffel tower vases.
3. Perfect Combo of Bold Colors: Black and Red
If you want something that stands out beautifully against the color red, black is always the way to go. Below are two examples of creative centerpieces made using black cube glass vases. In the examples below, the tables feature bold red tablecloths or red table runners. Juxtaposing the grounding color of smooth opaque black glass next to the vibrant crimson helps to keep the red from overpowering the eyes. Using a patterned red cloth also helps in this regard. In the image on the left, small black cube vases with horsetail stalks and white chrysanthemums help to ground the colors of this table. On the right, the floral arrangement of pink peonies also cleverly echoes the table pattern with peony designs printed in the cloth.
